Missed mammogram appointments not only impact patient outcomes but also create gaps in preventive
care revenue and strain staff resources.

Our client’s hospitals needed a way to re-engage patients who were due for their annual mammograms
without adding manual workload to their already stretched teams.

A leading health system partnered with Dialog Health to launch a customized, automated mammogram recall campaign using Dialog Health’s two-way texting platform.

The goal was to proactively engage patients due for their annual screenings while reducing the burden on staff. By delivering personalized recall messages with easy scheduling options and timely follow-up reminders, the campaign drastically improved appointment scheduling rates. As a result, the health system not only enhanced access to preventive care but also generated an impressive $1,750,000 in additional
revenue.

THE SOLUTION

To address the gap in preventive care scheduling, four hospitals implemented an automated Mammogram
Recall Campaign using Dialog Health’s two-way texting platform. The system automatically sent recall messages to patients 364 days after their last mammogram, including direct scheduling links and phone numbers for easy access. Once a patient scheduled their appointment, the platform triggered a follow-up text reminder three days before the visit—ensuring both engagement and attendance. This fully automated approach streamlined outreach efforts, removed the burden from staff, and made it simpler for patients to prioritize their health.
